"Lost in an endless and cold, dark sea, she wanders. Lonely, sad, heartbroken. The Lady Narwhal swims slowly, searching. Searching for something that she believes to not truly exist. Love."
This piece is...one of my more emotional pieces. It is an expression of how I sometimes feel. It does seem a bit selfish to feel this way, but sometimes it just can't be helped, especially when you've recieved so many heartbreaks. Also, on a lighter note, I drew this because I've always wanted to draw an anthro Narwhal. The sketch actually started out very happy and then turned into a sad piece.
You may be thinking that I'm just being emo, but please don't, because I'm not.
I hope I suceeded in showing what I wanted to show with this picture.
Critiques are appreciated. A lot of work went into this.
Also, this will probably be my last picture for a long while. I am doing a sprite ID, but probably wont do any other pictures for a while with school coming and a job and internet restrictions. I just won't be able to find time to do pictures. Well, digital pictures anyway. I could still upload sketches and doodles.
Awww, that's sad that you won't be able to do much digital wise
But I think this is a very nice picture~ I have a horrible headache right now, so if I think of any other crits other than the ones I gave you over MSN, I'll let you know!
It's veryvery gorgeous. <3
I love the water, water REFLECTION, omigosh! You did it so
well. ^3^
The fingers are really delicate, which makes her look so small and frail, is that what you were going for? Because it makes it look lonelyer.(xD)
The way you've done the light falling through the water is amazing, and really accurate, especially the reflections on her skin and hair.
And, on a less detailed note, narwhals are awesome.
Also, everyone deserves to draw a sad picture once in a while.

I want life in every word to the extent that it's absurd.
That's not emo AT ALL. Everyone feels down sometimes, and drawing is a great way to help ease the pain.
I'm impressed with how much your coloring skills are evolving; you put a lot into this piece, and it shows. Good job on the detail with the light dispersing through the waves and the Narwhal's skin and hair. Also, nice symbolism contrasting the dark depths of the ocean with the light at the surface.
Good luck in school and on the job! :3
